Dear Friends,
The Episcopal Church is open to all who seek God or a deeper knowledge of him. We understand our church as not belonging to us, but to our Lord Jesus Christ. At St. Matthew’s Church we seek to live this reality daily, as individuals, yes, but also and more importantly, as a community, a family. We believe that each person is created in the image of God, and as such is given unique gifts and abilities that can be used to serve God, his church, and all of humanity. We believe that Jesus Christ is “the way, the truth and the life” and that only through him do we come to know the fullness of life that God intends for us to have. We believe that the Holy Spirit is God’s living and ongoing presence in our lives, making the love that flows between the Father and the Son for the entire world, a reality in our lives. Indeed, it is in sharing the love for the world that God gives us through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ that we at St. Matthew’s Church devote ourselves, and which we invite you to share in.
